Corporation has pressed into service five mini-battery vehicles, in the first phase, in its two zones for the door-to-door collection and removal of garbage.The main advantage of these mini-battery vehicles is that they could enter even small lanes and sub-lanes with much ease and collect the garbage.The mini-battery vehicles are easy to handle and each could collect half tonne of garbage during one trip. The battery charged once will last for about 5 – 6 hours at a stretch.The corporation staff themselves will operate the vehicles without going for specialised drivers.
